here a glimpse of the everyday life of the “it” bloggers of the moment… it’s one fashion show and subsequent fashion party after the other…reinventing themselves every time and inspiring the rest of us who have more to think about than what to wear today… I am glad “they” are there for us as for they give me my daily fashion fix…something to dream about (…oh I wish I could travel around the world gong to one fashion show after the other but with two little kids this one is gonna have to wait!)…and more inspiration than any magazine can provide as what they give is fashion in the raw and now!

And here a few of my (many) fashion inspirations.. these girls are all soo young and gorgeous with a great/individual sense of style! I love how they push the boundaries and have become the new must have ambassadors of fashion!
The iconic store in Florence -Luisa Via Roma was celebrating their ten year anniversary and has flown in the top bloggers around the world for the occasion! …would looove to be able to do that! …Will SA fashion world ever be ready for that? or will they be just as blase as they are around other celebs?? ;-))
Anyway, here they are…the young stars..
Denni of ChicMuse wearing a look she styled from Luisa Via Roma…I love her…not only is she a gorgeous girl..she oozes individuality and class…very much her own brand! Her blog reads like a fashion magazine and her pictures are always amazing!
Jane from Sea of Shoes
is also a constant source of inspiration and a little bit of envy -there aren’t many 18 year old girls, or 36 year women for that matter! with her kind of wardrobe!! But besides that I love her style and sense of theatrical…it reminds me that fashion is meant to be fun and a constant dress-up party!
Here she is at the Luisa Via Roma event with two other prolific bloggers…
and some photos of the event:
How mad are these shoes by D-squared??
Mad about this shoe from Giuseppe Zanotti!
Vintage crocodile bag
Love the Acne shoes !!
Elin of Style by Kling,.. and her days in Florence…

…the day all South Africans have been waiting for is here! The world cup kick off is happening in a few hours and the vuvuzelas have been announcing the big event since the early morning hours! I’ve tried to get some SA-flag colours fashion fotos…but quite honestly I’ve been too busy watching TV and preparing food for when the opening begins-my bum will glued to the telly and just get up for nappy changes!!
So no yellow, red and green fashion…BUT a really cool animal ring that will soon be available at Alexandra Del Lago
and if you need some more design inspiration go check out http://www.luxirare.com -an amazing, inspiring and seriously creative blog!
…seeing gorgeous plus-size models as well as older/real women on the “runway” of the Chanel 2011 Resort Collection..
..moral of the story: value yourself…wrap yourself in gorgeous clothes and don’t wait until those ever present 2 or 3 or 5 kg’s are gone… BE beautiful NOW 🙂
…but happiness is also…seeing that Madonna is aging like the rest of us…in spite of some serious help from the best surgeons money can buy.. Here some un-retouched fotos of her from the Louis Vitton shoot -curtesy of Bryanboy.com-
…and here a shoot from the campaign…quite different I’d say 😉 …
See…there’s lots of reasons for happiness today!!…so pour some more love over yourself …dare to age gracefully and dress well- it does make all the difference!…(talking to myself here first and foremost by the way…
so chic, so simple, so retro & so now…so comfortable…soo want it!
Gaby Basora is the NYC designer behind indie brand Tucker. She is known for her simple cuts and staple pieces which simply go with everything. In her new collection there’s a couple of powerful punches of brightness, but overall, the clothes lean toward soft tans, heather grays, and some beautiful plums. The latest collection is inspired by French writer Marguerite Duras after Basora scooped up to first editions over at Dashwood books on Bond Street, saying, “There’s a fierceness packed into the author-director that I find inspiring and alluring.” That spirit certainly translates to Liu Wen, who shines in crisp shots in the lookbook—pensive on a couch, coy in a stairwell, and sexy against a fireplace—and makes us long for a quiet evening at home. We heart the tomboyish (but still feminine) culottes, the perfect white wool trench, and a sandy, pin-tucked dress. After peeping the pics, you may want to find a first edition of your own.
Look out for new Tucker collection at Alexandra Del Lago from Nov 2010 (as it is the Amercian holiday line)
Thats me for now… so far no new photos of the Hyde Park store as they are delayed (surprise! It does happen in Johannesburg too!)… so hopefully by the end of the week…we’ll get to open our doors!!
